I have been a member of digital point for a while, and in that time I have recieved a few infractions for the most rediculous, pointless and irrelevent reasons. I give a couple of examples of infractions recieved:

    1.

    Dear jmstone,

You have received an infraction at Digital Point Forums.

Reason: Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value
    -------

    -------

This infraction is worth 1 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

I have a site package on auction over at flippa (http://flippa.com/auctions/73447/Fl...--PR4--Package---100--unique-content---design) which may be of interest to you, 4 days left, 2 sites (PR3, PR4) current bid is $500

    All the best,
    Digital Point Forums

Correct me if i'm wrong, but he was asking to buy sites, I replied with a site within his criteria, and a link to where it can be purchased. So how was I 'Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value'????

    2.

    Dear jmstone,

You have received an infraction at Digital Point Forums.

    Reason: Inappropriate Post/Thread
    -------
    PM me type of post.
    -------

This infraction is worth 1 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

I can do you a link on zombiesurvival.co.uk - the site is not up as yet but it is a PR2 domain, ranks well for zombie survival and gets traffic - PM me if interested :)
    ---End Quote---
    All the best,
    Digital Point Forums

Once again, the post TITLE states he is after zombie related sites - yuet somehow my response offering advertising on a zombie related site is 'Inappropriate Post/Thread' apparently????

This is precisely why DP is going downhill, FAST. It's not even possible to leave a comment on a post without recieving an infraction - the only thing I can assume is that your moderators get extra credit for the amount of pointless infractions and bans they hand out.

I realise it says not to post a thread to complain about infractions, but to be honest i don't care about the fact they are on my account now and i don't care if they get removed or not - but something has to be done to control your power hungry moderators.

    Sort it out FFS.

what you consider a comment, we consider spam or inappropriate.

telling someone to PM you is about as useless as tits on a bull.

posting your offer in someones thread is also not allowed, thats why there is a PM system. learn to use it.

wrong, its because of people like you who cannot be bothered to learn the rules here.

Oooh, another infraction, didn't see that one coming.

Did i just say PM me? No. I gave him the information they asked for then said to PM if he wishes to discuss further.

Fair enough, does that mean you ban all people who post in the Buy / Sell /Trade threads? I think you'll find nearly all replies to threads are regarding what sites people are looking to buy / sell / trade on. If you can't respond to someone with what you have - allowing others to see what other sites have been offered up - then what's the point of a forum?? It may as well ALL be a PM system with no responses to threads allowed.

I am aware of the rules, but the fact your moderators are all power hungry means that knowing what can / can't be said is near impossible as it varies so much.

the OP in this particular thread said
"PM's only - please include the revenue stats & asking price."

    and you post:

in the next one OP is looking for paranormal links, you post:

i think the following covers this very nicely:
The simplest way to know if something is allowed or not, is ask yourself the simple question, "Does my reply have any value to anyone other than myself and/or the original thread poster?" If not, send them a private message.

I normally don't reply to these dumb comments but..

If you want to participate in BST then PM and don't post to avoid breaking any rule. Its easy!

If you don't like the rules, leave.

I think you'll find that the posts were the other way round lol - you put the wrong replies there! The zombie reply was for the paranormal / zombie thread (believe it or not) and the auction reply is someone asking about a site for sale. BOTH have value to others who are looking for paranormal / zombie links or sites to buy - so your last point is invalid also.

its all accurate, i can see your deleted posts, you cannot. i know what i'm talking about, you don't.

continuing on this path can only lead to one outcome.
so quit your bitching and follow the rules just like everyone else here has to.
