Hello members, can anybody tell me how to improve Google crawling frequency, your early response will be appreciated
1- Login to your webmaster a/c and change the Crawl rate as per your need. 2- Get more and more quality back links (recommended)
Hi, The search engines crawl the websites, depends upon the frequency change in the site content as well as quality backlinks of that site.
I think google has set automatic frequency crowlink for a blog whith their algoritma.. So not setting is no problem
Keep posting fresh content frequently, even once or twice a week is sufficient. If you post content less frequently, There is something called as Pinging Search Engines. You can try that too. Though Don't overdo pinging.
Keep adding pages. This will make them to crawl your website. For example social bookmarking sites often visits by bot. Because some one is keep bookmarking their website in bookmaring sites like folkd.com.
I would NEVER use WMT to set a crawl rate (or attempt to set the crawl rate in the <head> of your HTML). It's a bad idea IMO. CNN doesn't have to tell them to crawl their site constantly. The engines are pretty good at figuring out optimal crawl rates for sites. The ONLY time you should use Google's WMT to set the crawl rate is to make them crawl less frequently as when you have a very slow server and Google crawling your site is bringing the server to it's knews (slowing user response times tremendously). There are two ways to increase crawl rates for all of the engines: 1) Constantly add new content (i.e. new URLs). If each time Google returns to perform their scheduled crawl of your site they discover new URLs that were not there the last time they crawled, they will crawl you a little more frequently. If each time they return they find more new content, they will continue to crawl you more and more frequently until they find a balance between your content generation rate and their crawl frequency. 2) Get more backlinks. Each time Google crawls a URL on another site that links to you, it triggers them to at least do a partial crawl of your site. They will follow the link on the other site's URL to your URL to verify that your page being linked to still exists or to see if it's now returning a 301 so that they can transfer credit or to see if it's returning a 404, etc. While they are reindexing the page being linked to they will also typically index some of your "neighboring" pages being linked to by that URL. The more links... the more of these partial crawls. The site I SEO as my full-time job adds very little content... a few articles per week, yet Google and the other engines are on our site 24x7 crawling our site. It's not because of our content generation rate which is low. It's because of the 4,700,000 inbound links to the site.
Indeed - WMT can't help upgarding the frequency of crawling, just optimization in the form of BL and adding fresh useful content.
Add more backlinks, that will bring google very often to your site. Specially backlinks from good PR pages will help a lot for fast reflection
