Actually, before we are in serious trouble the virus will need to mutate into something that can be transmitted from human to human. As I understand it this can happen when someone catches both bird-flu and a normal human-human type of flu. If the same cell gets infected by a virus or each type the result can be a mix of the two - for example a human transmitted bird-flu. The more humans catching bird-flu from birds, the more risk this will happen. If seems that the problem in Turkey is that: a) the culture is such that many people keep birds, and in such a way that they are in intimate contact with them, and b) for whatever reason it does not seem to being managed well - birds are not being removed quickly enough (partly because the poor people that rely on them for food are not being compensated) and the population is not being well enough educated to treat all birds as a health risk.
Let the birds live and feed them, but pay some caution on ill birds or dead ones, - don't touch them or come close without proper protection gear.
bird flu chicken pox and swine flu, all animal illnesses right? it says on a video on youtube that it has to be injected to pass from animal to human.....think about that. it has to be injected to pass from animal to human it has to be injected to pass from animal to human
