Strange email from dp user

I recently got an email from a "world wide pinoy," stating that I didn't pay him for his works. The issue is that i had him write a sample, which i payed him for on paypal, and the writing was horrible. There were errors that even microsoft word picked up on, and i figured that at least those errors should be corrected. I told him that i feel that the work is not up to par. Well now he sends me more reports that i didn't ask for, and is demanding that i pay for them. Problem is, i never contracted him through a deal, and he wants to scam my I trader. Is there anything i can do against this harassment? Thank you for your time and consideration.

if they send you a PM through DP making the same threats, report the message using the report PM button.

other then that, moderators do not get involved in member disputes.

If you would have taken the time to properly read the original post on the Digital Point forums, then you would have read the part that specifically stated that if there are any issues with the articles to inform me immediately so they can be repaired. In failing to inform me and makinge the payment, you are accepting the articles as is even though the post guarantees my work until it is to your specifications.

I had two other orders which had the same type of mistakes as you and they both contacted me right away to inform me of them. The reason for the issues is because I write articles for other people and myself in more then 7 different languages; of which all has dictionary support built in to MS Word. The problem was that I had it set up for another language and therefore it was not picking out the mistakes like it should have. Upon notifying me, the fix was made and there have been no other issues. Likewise, I completely rewrote both orders and added more then 1,000 words for free to each for the mistake on my part.

If you were not satisfied with the articles, then you should not have paid. You should have notified me immediately upon discovering them so I could make the necessary repairs to the articles. However, you did not which in a legal aspect, the moment you made the payment you accepted the articles as is.

The articles that you have in your possession now are yours as I have no use for them. I write unique articles for other people, not PLR articles so I would never have a use for them nor would I make an attempt to sell them to anyone else. To me they are worthless if they are not paid for.

Now moving on, it seems that you are using the word ignorant as some form of insult. Based on your usage of the term, I can see that you have no concept as to its meaning. The word ignorant refers to the lack of knowledge or understanding with regards to a particular subject or topic.
If you were not an engineer and I asked you the tear strength of a 20 gauge 303 stainless steel tank, then you would not know the answer to the question without having to look it up. This is what ignorance is and there is nothing wrong with it. Since no one in the world could ever know everything about everything, then everyone is ignorant in at least one subject or topic.

As far as being called stupid, now that I take offense at seeing as though I have a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have chosen to live in a developing country while making an American income; which has allowed me the benefit of living like a millionaire would in the States thanks to the exchange rate. Likewise, as you stated that you have made thousands of dollars through the Digital Point forums, I myself can account to at least $40,000 of my income in the last 12 months as coming through the forums. But in the end it becomes a futile task of comparing straws when neither one of us can or is willing to show proof as to how much income one made through the forums.

As far as threats go, what do you consider as being a threat? You ordered a set of articles and failed to pay and as such I told you I was going to give you a negative iTrader for failing to pay. If you feel threatened some how, then by all means do what ever is necessary. As an American citizen I am required to follow American laws and as such if you can find one which I have broken then feel free to file a complaint with the U.S. State Department and I will receive a call from the Consulate within the next month concerning the issue. You may also contact the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and file a complaint through that forum if you feel so inclined to do so.

Personally though, I do not do one thing and say another which completely contradicts myself; well not on purpose at least. I also do not go around calling people ignorant bastards, and use other defamatory statements and then go elsewhere stating that I am being threatened by the person I just insulted. I can tell you that you seriously need to deal with some maturity issues. I have the email which you specifically asked me to write the remaining 5 articles that you ordered. You never complained about the articles until after you refused to pay for the second set. I personally am not accusing you of anything nor will I do so on a public forum but seeing as though you have already shown intent to make this issue a public one, I felt as if it is only appropriate that I state my side of the story.

Now, I am more then willing to let the whole thing drop as long as you stop as well. I would however highly suggest that you refrain from anything that may be considered libelous slander against me without the proper evidence to support any claim. If you had a problem with the articles you should have said something before any payment was made. Likewise, you should never have contacted me asking for the remainder of the articles you originally requested if you disliked my service that much.

With this said, I now have to go back work and finish some articles for member of this forum.
