Recently Google seems to be de-indexing and re-indexing my website every 2-3 days, i have no idea why.

My website is 4 years old.

What i changed recently is that i created a sitemap.xml and added it in my google webmaster tools account. Nothing else.

Any ideas why this come and go happens ?

    thanks

The same happened to me. I am not sure why it happened. I thought it was because it was a fairly new site. I think Google is making some changes into its back end with the major caffeine update

Are you sure that your site is completely de-indexed, or is it just jumping around in the results pages? The whole Google dance thing always happens when they are changing something.

Maybe you're getting quite different results served by different data centers ?

Just wait for a couple of days and if you've done nothing wrong your website will be just fine.

If your site is de-indexed it may be the cause of worry for your website. Your site is not crawled for few days thats ok but de-indexed is somewhat different case..

Yes, being buried in the results isn't being de-indexed.

If the site is new, a rythm will eventually get set, and SERPs will settle.
A lot of it also depends on how often content is added to the site.

Keyword position fluctuation may occur due to Google Dance which is currently happening, but de-indexing and and re-indexing is something what is difficult relate with.

Try to find your pages in the Google SERPs, that must be there.

I don't think re-index and de-indexing, but there is a normal fluctuation on SERPs now. May it have something to do with the caffeine updates.

want to know whether the same post is getting indexed and then deindexed and again reindexed ( case 1 ) OR old posts are getting deindexed and new posts are getting reindexed ( case 2 ) ?

If it's case 1 then you need not worry. If it's case 2 then it is a matter of concern. Here you need to ensure that whatever posts you are making unique.

Well, I don't think the number of backlinks will affect the indexing of a site. Your site can still be indexed even if you don't have any BL at all.

They can in fact help google find a site quicker, but once in the index, there're no other indexing issues to think about.

Thread starter: you have not been deindexed, use the proper terminology.
