It can be, like you need X amount of points to watch a full movie

Maybe 1 survey ='s 30 mins viewing time for a video etc.

You can set this up now, but minimum time is 1 hour. Off course actually with actual gateway visitor will be able to watch whole movie, without refreshing the page.

Question for movie sites runners. Have anybody tried to set one gateway per movie ever? Im wondering how it will run... Acutally I have one gateway for all movies and 72 hours for one survey.

What do you think?

 

I think Earnings are crazy high today

 

I have one gateway for all the movies and 1 month before the next survey pops in. Is this a good idea? because I think when i do 72 hour time limit it hurts my visitors so much.
My site is brand new.

 

All depends whether you have repeat visitors. If people are coming back to your site then keep it open for a while. But if its all new you may aswell have a low gateway time.

 

As many of you may remember, in our Gateway guide, we mentioned the Gateway can be used to monetize downloadable files. However, many of you have found this hard to do because the URL to the file could usually be found by simply viewing the source code of the page. We have found a solution to this.

I would like to notify everyone that next week we will be releasing our File Download Gateway. This Gateway can be used to monetize any downloadable file by forcing your end user to complete a survey to initiate the file download. Those of you who feel like you missed the boat on video content, now is your chance to be the first to start monetizing downloadable content. You will be able to select how you would like to deliver the file to your end user from one of the three options:

Encrypted URL to the file which can be a Rapidshare URL or a URL direct to the file on your server which appears after a survey is completed, manual delivery which is a system that will notify you when a user has earned your content and you will need to manually give them the link to the file or e-mail them the file, and the last method is providing your user with a password to unlock the WinRAR or Winzip file.

As always, your end users will be able to earn your content (file) by completing a survey. However this time, you will have more options. They will be able to earn your file using more payment options such as SMS (pay by mobile phone), PayPal, high paying Trial offers or even higher paying Purchase offers.

Some of you might be wondering why I am telling you about this before we release the Gateway. There is a very good reason for this. We need you guys to start preparing for the use of this Gateway. Get your content together, get your site rankings up, and get your brains churning because there is a lot of money to be made here. Now is your chance to be the first to do it.

Is this our big secret we have been keeping? No, there is a lot more that will be released a week after this Gateway and even more after that. All of our projects are in the final stages, however we figured it is best to release one at a time so we do not overwhelm you with too many new options and to give you a chance to focus on one niche at a time. If you have found a way to monetize video content in the past, you will probably find it easier to monetize downloadable files.

I don't quite understand the "they will be able to earn your file using more payment options". Isn't it just filling surveys?

 

I read it as if a user does not want to fill out a survey they can pay a set price via one of the options.

 

When I read Troy's post... I just jizzed in my pants Just kidding, I am just so excited about this and of course, I am starting to add more content and I will be making a new site, definitely, CPALead is the best! Hey guys, I'd like you to share some tips on the downloading niche, haven't tried that so far, please contribute tips and tricks.

It means that visitors of your site will have the option to:

1. Take a survey to have access to your file
2. Pay a certain amount through Paypal to have access to your file
3. Send SMS (pay by mobile phone) to have access to your file
4. Avail a trial offer or a purchase offer to have access to your file

So their option is not limited to filling-up surveys only.

I use similair systems on facebook apps and once this is released I will be switching all my apps to this as it is far superior to the rest
