Hi friends, I see one of my sites are losing backlinks, how should i retain and build more backlinks ?
How did you manage that? Sites are removing their links to you? Why? What sort of links do that? Bompa
Depends what sort of backlinks you build, and the speed you build them. High quality single links will not degrade as much as article/comments/sitewide.
Google never shows you all the links in their regular search. Are Webmaster tools and Yahoo showing a reduction?
Backlinks increase and decrease in GWMTs. Google is showing a sample of backlinks in WMTs. Lately, I also am seeing my backlinks for my sites being decreased. May be Google is cutting the percentage of the backlinks that are showed in WMTs. Anyway, you can try to get backlinks from pages that are indexed and have good PR. Those PR will help a lot and you will see them [mostly] being present in WMTs.
i consider link building to be a regular weekly part of seo - there's always new directories, blogs, forum comments, article submission, recip links and such to help build - a good variety is a good idea, and that tends to bring stability to the overall back link situation. the more quality links you have from a wide variety of different domains is key to increasing serps, etc
If you got backlinks that are not permanent you will lose them like blog commenting is one of them that provides you baklinks but with time you will lose them if you din't maintain them by regularly commenting. so I will suggest you to give regular time to backlink building process. Try as much as you can for backlinks blogs, forums, directories, articles etc.
Engaging on the following techniques helps. - article submissions - blog commenting - classified ads - directory submissions - forum posting - link exchange - press release - online groups - social media and networking - social bookmarking Just make sure to get quality of back links. Google gives more value on those kinds of back links.
Another way to build natural links to your website is through social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace and Twitter. These sites allow you to set up a user profile where you can add information about you and your company including a link to your website.
most of the are nofollow or need to be moderated or out of my niche so for me it`s very hard in that way.
it's nomal, all my site are losing the backlinks these days, maybe google are clean its database these days
