    Hi all DP's!!

I doubt does all the domain & hosting resellers make money???

Are you a reseller?? Be frank and share with us!! Do you make money here???

I can see thousands of websites/companies offering hosting and domains in that 15 to 20 companies are dominating the market. then how do these small resellers making business and money out of this very tight market???

WildWestDomains,eNom, 1&1, ResellerClub, etc.., everyone offering resellers pack and every other is unique. What was your best choice and why???

From past four months I kept some funds aside to jump into this market, but I am unable to convince myself that I can make money here...

Is it a suggestible to a new guy like me to enter into this very competitive market???

Some serious discussion is expecting from you guys!!

if you can offer $6.99 or below for new .com registration and have revenue,
it's worth to join the domain reseller business. ;)

it's what i want to say,
first you can ask yourself why people would like to register domains with your site while they can pay less.

I'm not a reseller per say but do flip sites, I believe unless you are opening a service offering hosting with a simple Internet Business Creation Scheme with easy to create website tools you may be fighting a losing battle.

You can make money but you need to charge more than minimum. I think most resellers will do their best when they refer their own clients, not from relying on web advertising.

You have hit the nail on the head, a great comment!

I tried the hosting game and not really had much success at all. I decided that I would just offer free hosting with my clients that I build my sites for.

Just reselling is a waste of time to be honest but adding it with another service works very well

i am not a domain reseller.
but for what i know, some countries whose residents does not use credit card or paypal, they buy domain from reseller. the payment is usually through bank transfer. it woks well so far (i guess so).

so, what i want to say is, know your market. it's still possible to make money :)

    Your point is valid root...

but, in a country whose residents does not use either CC or PP, then it is not a good place to make money!!!
