Due to recession there is significant decrease in no. of billionaires and USA was hit the most by recession but still it holds its no.1 position. Anyhow here's the list of top 10 countries: 1.USA-359 2.Germany-54 3.Russia-32 4.China-28 5.UK-25 6.India-24 7.Canada-20 8.Hong Kong-19 9.Japan-17 10.Saudi Arabia-14 India surprised me most, it has strange combination of extremely rich and extremely poor people. But Singapore disappoint me with only 2 billionaires.
Compared to other countries on the list, Singapore has a much small population so it's natural to have lesser billionaires.
Only Brazil is missing in this list out of the BRIC countries. It also shows the pace at which the BRIC countries are improving. Hopefully the developing BRIC countries will be able to the presently developed countries within the next few decades.
But they are also developing at a very fast pace even while partying. All the four BRIC countries are developing at a tremendous pace though Brazil and Russia are developing at a lesser pace than India and China.
Japan's economy is sinking day by day. Even if there is improvement that is almost negligible. Japan has been one of the worst affected by recession as per many websites and news channels. There are signs of improvement but there is hardly any improvement till now. In fact, even China's economy is expected to surpass Japan's economy this year. And Japan's overall debt is rising day by day and it is more than 200% of GDP as per the data I had seen a few days ago in a a website.
Can you please add one more here - India-24 to India-25 They forgot to list my name probabaly Regards, Richie.
I'm very surprised there aern't more from saudi arabia / middle east, think that list may change soon.
