Google Adwords? Difference between 'Local Search' vs 'Global Monthly Search Volume?

    When doing keyword research, and looking through a list of 10 selected keywords for demand in the Ses, for keywords research webpage building, in the google adwords keyword tool are I better of looking at the

    Local Search Volume: August VS Global Monthly Search Volume ?

    Whats the main difference between them 2, when searching the Search volume for a list of 10-15 keywords,

    What would be a better one to use, for my aim written below?

    The aim of my search:these keywords wil be used to produce webpages, for SEO rankings = highly targeted visitors from google to these keyword pages etc

    -global search,
    -local search,
    -exact search,
    -broad search?

    - What would you advice, for my above aim ?

    as per difference between Local searches vs. Global Monthly searches August, nothing but just indicating -

    Local Search - Google indicates local search of usa as Local search i.e. 400 for web design services in usa

    Global Monthly searches August - This indicates Monthly search ratio of August for particular key phrase from all over world i.e. 10,000 searches for iphone development

    As per your question, choose keywords which as high monthly search volume in local and global monthly searches with combination of exact and broad keywords.

    But i think google states something different, Local serches means for one month which that given, and globle serches means searches from last 12 months.

    Local Search means searches in selected Country while Global means searches worldwide.

    If a local has 18,000 but a global has a million, does a site get seen globally by the million?
