Lately I have been receiving more traffic from Bing than Google. The question is warranted. But just like everyone else, get quality backlinks and over time you will be where you want to be within Bing.
Are they quality visitors? How do you find them? I highly recommend you to have quality or unique visitors than one time visitors.
Google search result is better. Just do the normal stuff to rank high in google and you should be lucky to rank high in bing also.
Honestly if Bing could keep the Webmaster Area, it might incentivise more people to optimize for Bing, but it appears to suffer quite a bit. Anyone else having this problem?
Did anyone else notice that Bing SPAM the logfiles with their faked search hits from IPs that all belong to them? It's seems most of the traffic from them are from bots.
I didn't noticed that. But if you will notice, Google also do that. In some cases, Google Spam the logfiles also.
Get quality content and relevant back links to your site. You can easily get the top position on bing.
Agree, On-Page SEO + Link Building... But how do you explain the ranking disparities on the same KW. There must be differences in the details on how to optimize on one versus the other. An example might be (and this is pure speculation) the way in which Google and MSN weigh and treat LSI KW On Page in their algorithms. Also, in doing KW research on niches, you might find that for a competitive KW in Google, you have more space in MSN and even though in agregate MSN only represents about 8% of traffic, that KW could mean a bunch to you and your niche. I think it is very valuable to understand exactly how to optimize for Bing and for Yahoo Search. In this case saying "just focus on the 85% (Google)" is not the best approach... EVERYONE is competing for that 85%.
Maybe. Remember the days of everyone preferring Yahoo? I think the competition will be good for all. Interesting anyway you look at it.
it is very difficult to rank in bing, i ranked 10 th spot in google but in bing i don't rank inside 200,,,,, even though bing webmaster tools shows me 3000 backlinks,,,,,,,
Yeah right same here. So why focus in Bing? The best thing you can do is get rank in Google. Then, having that position will satisfied you not to work in other SE's
