Are you sure with what are you saying? It's almost end of the month! As what others predict, by the end of September, Google will update their Page Ranks. Do you mean, small updates starts already?
i heard several people saying same but have no proof for that. i have several websites that for sure will get some pagerank - but nothing happening. i doubt it's update
Funny to see someone saying Google has Shutdown PR updates! BTW, there is a speculation that PR update is due for end of September 2009.
As far as PR is concerned there are generally 2 camps. People who own advertisement based sites that earn money off the back of the little green bar. People who owe ecommerce/none advertisement based sites who have no interest in the little green bar. There is also some middle ground - Sites working towards high SEPRS will incorporate link building as part of their marketing strategy, as link building is related to PR it offers a guide to the effectiveness of a campaign. That said I work on a few sites that turn over a large amount of money, these display a low PR reading. People who state, forget about PR, just add unique content, are not able to see the whole picture.
And so does every body else. I'm so sick of hearing people talk $hit about how PR only matters if you sell links. BULL $HIT!! It matters to every body. I don't give a F what you say. 90-95 percent of sites sells links (probably more). Even if you make thousands a month from Adsense your not gonna tell me if you have a PR8 site your not going to accept a 3, 4, $500 dollar offer for a link. AND, those of you that say you don't agree, are not going to tell me it's not a major factor when buying and selling sites. Yes I know traffic matters more but if you have 2 sites that get 1,000 visitors a day, and one is a PR1 (good search phrase domain or something) and the other is a PR5 your not going to buy or sell a sites for the same price. But anyway OP, Google changes there PR at different times. It use to be every 3 months, on average, but earlier in the year it was monthly and now I have not seen one in a couple months so maybe expect one within the next month or so but that ain't no guarantee.
From my experience Google does it every time but maybe in not so massive format Today I've seen changes on one site , 2 days ago on another one etc
why you all be so ignorant. PR has a big weight on SERPS. Simple example . I post on my blog something. If my site has PR 5 , the internal pages are crawled almost daily. If the internal pages link to the new post it will get internal backlinks which are important too (and if u 're blog has PR5 then the old internal pages have PR1-PR3). So now you automaticly get PR1-PR3 backlinks. Isnt backlinks what we are all up to? PR is very important and google will never forget about it.
If not, then why am I working my tail off to get backlinks from Authority Domains. To get higher PR, the higher the PR the closer I get #1. Amen
Well you're wrong as it was July, and the next will be in a few weeks near the beginning of October then rolling overseas. You can watch all you want as there is no clear indicator other than sites without PR being assigned PR.
