Acne Niche has Low CTR?

It seems like I've put myself into the wrong niche.

I really can't figure it out.

For some reason, it seems that my CTR for my acne site is really low.

Has anyone else with an acne niche experienced this?

Maybe I just need to rework my placement.

(Ads under post title usually works well, but maybe not for an acne niche...)

Do SEO and get quality traffic then your CTR would automatically increase. Also do some tweaks with your ads like placing it in navigation area etc, so that your visitors can have a look at it.

You have got the point there. CTR depends on the quality of traffic and ad placement rather than on the type of niche. Acne is a fairly good niche; place the ads at important locations and improve targeted traffic. You are bound to get a good CTR :)

I'm working on changing some things up.
On most of my sites, ads under post titles work really well.
However, it seems that people who read acne blogs click ads that are after the first paragraph.

By the way, I'm pulling in 400+ unique views a day from Google.
Not too bad, but still optimizing... As always. lol

I know SEO and I know all the good stuff. My average CTR for all my sites
is pretty decent. That's why my acne one got me sayin' WTF? Lol

Try using adbrite or bidvertiser instead. Use split testing and note the conversion, click rates etc for each. They still work you just have to get the placement right and make sure they are feeding the correct adsense for your content.

acne, acai, mesothelioma, weightloss - though there are high paying niches, your high paying blog can turn to lowest paying when you post copied articles.. google will identify your site as MFA..
