WOW - major change in serps, must be caffeine update

Ok, there has just been a major change in the google serps. it has to be caffeine, my sites have all took a major jump.... there are no article websites at all getting returned in the serps!!!

 

I think you might be right, for my keyword I am in about the same spot but one other site must have jumped into the top 10 because I have not seen it before.

Algo update may be rolling out. Where are you located? How do the serps you are seeing compare to Caffeine test DC serps?

 

haha its fixed itself. google went crazy for a minute there lol

 

I just checked, digitalpoint is showing about 780000 pages.

 

Could be a clutch, or Google might be testing algo changes along few data centers

 

I guess it's another reason why not to submit to article directories anymore. Google will most likely pay less attention to article directories since many of them have duplicate information. I would rather post articles on my own website than let article directories benefit from my hard work. Besides, it's not like they bring me any major traffic, they just give you a few backlinks and that's all.

 

My site has been in and out of Google every time I refresh the page. They do like to play games do Google

Its a big update and caffeine was bound to cause fluctuations. You wonder what algo is used to determine some of the results in between updates

 

I also saw that the PR has been updated for some sites. Some of the sites that had PR 3 or 4 and are over 5 years old in my niche went down to PR 0. I think that Google caught up to those that were buying links and using blackhat methods with this update.

 

If that is true then it may change many times pr will disapear during an update.

 

Still seeing some article sites ranking for keywords.

 

I've had some keywords i've been working on do some major moving yesterday and today ( to the negative , but mine always seem to drop some before a big jump).

All of my ezine articles did not move. The ones I've been linking to didn't move nor did the ones I haven't been building links for.

Weird that our site serps are moving but not the articles.

You can say that caffeine is latest algo of google.

Google updates its SERPs frequently so its hard to predict if its the caffeine or what.

 

for the past 2 days, all my google traffic dropped like hell.. similar to what i seen happen in 11 August 2009. however rankings were gained 2 weeks later.. around 25 August. is this happening to some of u guys also and is it normal and nothing to worry?

 

We all will notice when the Caffeine update gets implemented.

 

Well, my lyrics page has jumped from 30th page to 3 page now. I love this update.
