Your background could use a white or black page. Its so old-school to use patterns in in your background.
I thought that the "carbon fibre" background would be a great touch to the general idea of the website. maybe I was wrong
We think your site is great. The carbon fiber background is a nice look. The initial impression of your site is eye catching and you did a great job. The only suggestion we have is adding some more images, quick links or something like that along the sides of the page. As well as a little more on the top. Mike and Jen
I disagree, web 2.0 sites are starting to re use graphic backgrounds as users now have quicker connections to download the images. My personnal site has this affect: http://danthorpe.co.uk/ Try a 2px dark smooth border around the curved images maybe #333333 ?
