Would you personally ever eat five day old leftover Chinese food?

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by gemini181, Aug 11, 2006.

My normal 'standards' for making sure leftover food gets eaten is a max of 4 days (2-2 1/2 days max for seafood). I have some leftover Chinese food, from a really good place. The only meat is beef, no seafood or chicken.

Would you personally ever eat five day old leftover Chinese food?
    Just curious.
    Thanks :)

As long as it smells fine, I eat it

Even if its a "little bad", if you eat enough of that your stomach gets used to it :p

are you kidding me? maybe 2 days max... otherwise it gets all soggy and disgusting... and nobody wants to pick out the leftover dog from the fridge and eat it, it only lasts for 2 days, even if it is covered up... yuck! I would go with "Throw that out" and order some fresh stuff if it is that good

Good advice, you built up a tolerence. :)
I usually go by the number of days. I have other food, but don't like to throw away and waste.

No! One day max! Rice gets all hard and gross after more than one day. I usually put a wet paper towel over it before re-heating it.

Now leftover pizza...I'll eat that up to a week after. :p

If you nuke it with the top on the rice softens a lot...I kinda like it when the grains of rice aren't all stuck together

I gave leftover Chinese to a street person once, and he was really happy.
    Have you ever tried this?

It depends if you kept it in the fridge or not... I personally try to eat fresh food. If i have more food than i can eat i just invite a few of my friends over rather than keep it for another day.

Look, if you aren't going to eat it, can you at least send it to me?

Hate to see it go to waste

For those of you dumping Chinese food within a day, you do realize how fried rice is made, right?
