Can some of you guys just share with me basics about Article Marketing? Were to start? What's it about and so on... Thanks in advance

Here are a few quick tips:

- write short articles (250 words)
- use a strong call to action at the end
- talk about benefits
- connect with the reader on a personal level
- don't make it sound as an ad (they need to understand you are a real person)
- use titles that make the person want to read the article (don't use generic titles)
- after time monitor which articles get the highest CTR and notice what made that difference and use it in articles you write

Best thing I can suggest is to take some time looking at some article with high views over at Ezine Articles and look at what makes those articles work, how did they approach the subject, what makes their link look like you want to click through etc, then simply dive in and start..nothing is better then learning by doing.

 

First pick up the niche you want to promote.

Search on google to Learn how to do keyword research.
OR
Use the Adwords keyword tool to find out "keywords" or "phrases" that people actually use to make searches on google. Choose some keywords that don't have much competition. Go for 3, 4, 5 word phrases. Use your brain to find good keywords!

Once you have a list of keywords, write some articles based on those keywords. Include the keywords or phrases in the article title. Include the keywords in the article body too. Have 4-5% keyword density in the article body.

Make a clear call to action. The purpose of writing an article is to get the reader to click on your link in the article resource box. But Don't Sound like an Ad person. Try to sound personal as JoseArmando said above.

You don't have to write a highly informative article. Just stick to 250 words.

How to write a simple 250 words article:
Like they say,
First write what you are going to tell the readers.
Then tell it.
Then write what you told them.

In the article resource box, include a link to your page where you talk about the reader's problem & how the affiliate product solves that problem. You can set up your page on blogger.com, squidoo, hubpages, weebly, wetpaint, etc. These are all free or you can register a domain & get it hosted.
