Use google adwords but use the content network otherwise use stumbleupon .05 cent per click

Content network is cheaper, and so is yahoo.

But there is no point getting 10,000 visitors for .10 cent when only 1% convert when you can get super targeted for visitors for $.40 that convert every few clicks.

If you are not prepared to pay for quality, then start writing articles and directing them to a squeeze page

    Depends on your product really.

Maybe try Facebook Ads as that can be ultra-targeted. Not really used it myself yet but am just starting now. But prices could be too high if you're not interested in Adwords for a similar reason.

Adwords is the old favourite and can produce results but the CPC on competitive keywords nowadays is high, so as you say it may not be for you.

Posting in relevant forums could help.

But, I think you're asking where can you literally buy traffic. There's tons of sites out there offering this and admittedly I've used them a few times. But as 'HelpingNewbies' says, the majority of this traffic is not targeted. Often the people who 'view' the ads don't actually look at them. If you've got a product that has a wide market, this could bear some results. But if you're targeting a specific niche which isn't particularly wide-ranging, you need to be really targeted with your ads.

you can search on BTS section that offer traffic service, you can find cheap rate there, or you can direct search via google, like buying traffic

It'd be better to create your own - dominate in the SERPs for a high paying keyword, and Google will send you targeted traffic.

I would advise to go for adwords campaign; otherwise simply concentrate on SEO and updating contents of your site. Google dislikes paid traffic and hence it is better to target the free organic traffic.
