I ma just testing Presta....so i will see later. I can tell Presta is fast but a little buggy and easy installation and setup is far away of reality. As you have to change many files, upgrade will not be easy.
Heh, ok. I'm just looking for alternatives. By upgrade you mean upgrade between different Prestashop versions or what?
Yes, exactly. I run the Prestashop site less than month and they released a 3 new versions from that time)))
That's really interesting, thanks for the link, CylonX. I'm still trying to learn how that works. When someone buys the dropshipped items, do you have to manually send over a list of what was sold to the dropshipper, or are you tied into their system somehow?
It works this way: 1. Someone buys item in my store and he pays me 2. I pay to dropshipper 3. Drop shipper sending goods directly to buyer (under my name - negotiable)
the only problem with prestashop is nonavailability of free templates which i can use. Would anyone know if there is any free template available for Presta which is pro?
Is someone interested of my sites....i am selling some of them here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1503172 I will die soon if i will have to take care of all of them))
hey there. i'm using prestashop too. try take a look at chinagadgetshop.com i've modified the default theme...i think when you use prestashop, you better use customize theme instead of default theme because default theme is not too professional.. best regard My First PrestaShop Cart chinagadgetshop.com
I am running an older version of prestashop. ver 1.1 I believe. But getting ready to upgrade to the newest version here next week. I do however kind of like the layout of the default presta template. It takes some work but you can make it work for you. I am however when I upgrade going to use a custom template as I am more partial to a dark backround. Here is my shop www.oslosaccessories.com Also I am a dropship store. And yes I do have to manually notify my dropshipper of my order and they send it out under my name. I am currently looking to integrate presta with a outside inventory management program so that the site will automatically generate an order in my dropshippers management system. They are using SAGE Mas 90. I will let you know how that works out.
To retrostylo: your Presta theme is very nice. To oz198: great idea, pls leave your comment after integration I am thinking about Amazon automatic integration into Presta or Virtuemart - does someone figured out how to solve the problem including automatic actualization (prices, new items, etc) ? Thanks for ideas
I only use oscommerce and interspire shopping cart - ISC is the best of all. I've tried presta shops and the templating just bothered me
I used prestashop on 3 sites for my clients. http://firthretail.com [ but seems they deleted some stuff from the database and it's not working anymore lol ... that's happening when you don't hire someone with experience ] http://anklewrapsandals.com http://swordscorner.com I'm very satisfied with it.
Hey, I got one for you but it is not at the level where prestashop is. It is almost 60% in features than prestashop. But it has got excellent and eye catchy simple layout in admin as well as fast and easy to manage. Check Open Cart Let me know if this helps you out.
IMHO Prestashop is excellent for SEO i managed to 3rd result in first page for a competitive keyword on google.co.in and google.com. It is in no way inferior than any ecommerce script costing hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Go with full confidence prestashop will never let you down. if you want my website proof i can show it, my website is not completed yet but excellent results and traffic
I agree, i was after month of work with Presta on first position on our number 1. country engine for several keywords.
Hi! The thread seems too old but i like to suggest you Dropshipper module for Prestashop available at modulebazaarDOTcom this helps you meet all your requirements.
