    Hi,

That it is possible to increase the quality score with backlinks is discussed a lot.
I want to do a field study to gauge the effectiveness and put some actual numbers to it.

For this I need volunteers that spend between $500 and $1,000 per day and that have an ad campaign with a quality score of 5 or lower.

What I want to do is provide backlinks to the landing page and see how the quality score changes over time.

I will use backlinks with different PR levels.
    For example 1x PR5 or 3xPR4 etc.

You give me the URL to a landing page and the keyword. I would then supply that landing page with a backlink.

You would report the quality score back to me.

This is no cost to you. I am doing this as part of a research project.
And there is no risk either. Worst case you'll wind up with a free backlink.
Best case: You get a much better quality score and spend way less on your PPC campaign.

Please send PM with subject "adwords field study"
    containing
Landing page URL, Keyword and current quality score.

I am not sure that backlinks are meaningful to Quality Score. For example, one ad campaign I have, the landing page has 10 backlinks max (working on that) but my quality score ranges between 7-10.

You are wasting your time. QS will not go up with more backlinks or PR or whatever else you can think of as far as SEO efforts are concerned.

Good luck finding people spending that much per day on Adwords with a QS of five or lower.

Your study would have to assume that people don't change anything in their account. No new ads at all.

The way to increase your QS and decrease your costs is by creating better ads. Plain and simple.

Well, there is a little more to it than that. The Quality of the ad is only ONE and only a SMALL part of creating a better quality score.

There is a little more to it than that but I like to keep things simple. However, ad quality, as measured by click rate is not a small part, it is the MAJOR part.
