What's Wrong With My Blog?

I've been blogging for www.india365.org for few days now. It seems the blogs lost its search rankings in Google search results, however all the blog posts are indexed in Google. I don't know the exact reason why Google reduced my rankings for my latest articles...

I raised the issue at Google webmaster forums and found no useful info...

I'm really worried about this, I made changes to my blog by removing lot of internal links on each and every post. I don't think I have duplicate content in my blog. I do have some track back links in my blog and they are 100% relevant to the article they are linked to. Can somebody track the problem and let me know so that I can solve the issue.

When did you remove the internal links? This seems to be a question that no one will be able to answer except Google, good luck...

I don't think ranking has anything to do with internal links. Were you selling links?

I think you're probably being VERY, VERY unrealistic. Your domain name india365.org was not even registered until 8/10/2009. Why do you think your blog posts should "rank high" on page 1 at Google? Do you think just because your pages are indexed that they should rank high?

Do you know how search engine rankings work? Are you aware that the MOST important ranking factor for a URL is inbound links from other sites with link text containing the keyword phrases you are trying to rank for?

Looking at your backlink profile at Yahoo! I can see you have EXACTLY 2 sources of backlinks - forum sig links here at DP which make up most of them... and site-wide "recent comment" links on beepthegeek.com where you evidently posted a comment on one of their posts. And the forum signature links from DP are most likely devalued tremendously anyway since they allow ANYBODY to add dofollow links and there is almost no moderation of links here.

But more importantly what you are probably experiencing is the fact that your Google honeymoon is over. Do you know what the Google honeymoon is?

Google often shows URLs from new sites (or new URLs from existing sites) on page 1 of the SERPs for a short period of time after they are first indexed EVEN THOUGH your URLs don't legitimately rank on page 1. After a few days or weeks of bliss basking in the spotlight on page 1 suddenly your URLs disappear and fall WAAAAAAAY back into the SERPs where they actually "should" have been all along. Then webmasters show up here, Google Help Forum, and other places begging for help figuring out why Google has penalized them...

This is perfectly normal. You're not being penalized... It's just that your Google honeymoon is over. The temporary artificial ranking boost to push your URL to page one has been removed and now your URLs are ranking where they should have been all along.

Now the REAL work begins... You actually have to compete with others to work your way back to page 1. Continue to add content, but also work on building links from other sites to your posts with the targeted keyword phrase of the post as the link text.

You posted in your latest blog post:

If your older articles are ranking high, then I don’t think your blog has been penalized. It also depends upon which keywords you are trying rank for. If you are aiming for “Sachin Tendulkar” , you will need millions of backlinks….

I wouldn't say there is anything wrong, in fact you site is doing well. Keep building those links and continue to update the content. Be sure to build a keyword list before you begin your link building campaign though.
