Domain Expired, but Still Can't Register!

    Want to register a domain that has been expired on 10-Jul-2009,
    when can i register this domain,
    name.com and Godaddy both still cannot register...

    For .com,you need to wait for 65 days after the expiration date.If it was really expired on 10-Jul-2009,I think it has already been registered by others.
    Have you checked the whois information?According to the theory,it's not necessary for you to wait so long to register it again.

    is that domain shows available while checking availability of domains ?

    if its available then only you can register.

    the whois server is moniker.com,
    and then i went to the site that anyone can make a offer for the domain with minimum $1000... :(

    dude u need to check the domain availability first :p

    whois server is not imp if the domain is offline then some sites like who.is will show that domain as available

    There are chances that the domain owner may renew it within the grace period ( Normally 40 days after expiry), so you should wait till it pass all process of deletion and it get available for fresh registration.

    Always check for the domain availability. There are many tools to do that. Or just check it with your registrar. I know registrar offer back orders. But i dont have any idea how to do that.

    when status chages to Status: pendigdelete then you can grab that :p

    it will take 5 days to delete

    Yes, I got an offer for a domain which I needed to renew. So I quickly grabbed it back and then the offer went dead. How fair is that? :rolleyes: I guess I was within my 'grace period' now I think maybe I'll sell it off as its just a great name, but I have no use for it! It was called trafficmove.com - good for well, car traffic or website traffic. A great little 2 word domain.
