Urgent help is needed

Hi all! 11 hours ago my trusted site (PR5, almost 4 years, 150k indexed pages) suddenly started loosing traffic... very quickly - I have lost over 30k visitors for 11 hours.

All I did last 2 weeks - I added site-wide links to the site - 2 reciprocal site-wide links and 3 usual site-wide links. Practically each of these 5 sites has approx. 80-300k indexed pages...

I do know that Google doesn't like site-wide reciprocal links but a lot of sites use it successfully...

As for the indexed pages - nothing changed.

An interesting detail - all my pages have lost their search positions - from 5-10 to 30-100...

    Please help me!

    1) Sitewides don't look very natural.

    2) Did you use the same anchor text on all the links???

    Thanks for your reply.

I used different anchors for different site-wide links. Surely each page of a given site was indexed with the same anchor - as you understand it's impossible to make each link anchor unique on a site with 130k pages.

And now I need an advice - what to do? To get site-wide links out?
Or to wait for a week? Or to add some trusted hign PR links with unique anchors?.. Please help.

It's unlikely you've been punished for adding a couple of links though if the sites were all yours it might trigger some penalty for too much linking between your own sites. My advice would be to wait a few days and see if things return back to normal. My personal experience is that in the last 2 or 3 months even some of my older sites jump arounds in SERPs ona fairly regular basis.

All my sites link each other, in many cases site wide. I havent seen this kind of situation. I would also say wait few days, it could be something else.

    Thanks for your advice.

To the point, I do not make linking between my own sites. I use external sites for site-wide linking...

I doubt it's the site-wide links - so many blogrolls are sitewide and do not cause issues. You have an awful lot of pages indexed (150k, 300k). Is this real content? Or are you auto-generating spammy content?

I think this is just a minor set back, can happen sometimes when post a bunch of links at the same time. It should be back soon though.

No idea what could be wrong without looking at the site itself. It's almost hard to believe that you had 130k indexed site with over 30k visitors per day. Mind if I ask what kind of business are you in?

thats a big drop!I think it will get back tomorrow. don't do site wide links cause it doesn't look natural. Do content linking or anything that make it look legal, you can use category for those links to look natural.
