Shall we take one each and point out how wrong they all are? 4. Searching for Incoming Links on Google Using "link:" will Show you all Your Backwards Links No it won't - Google doesn't show anything but a tiny number of backlinks as a matter of policy.
Where did you copy this from? My guess is that you copied it and are trying to use it to increase your post count.
You could fit that much BS in one post... good job! 1. The Higher Your Google PageRank (PR), the Higher You'll be in the Search Results Listing Wrong! PR is not equal to SERPS! I can prove it. I have a blog that is parked with a PR0 that ranks #5 for a keyword above sites with PR of 2. 2. The Google Toolbar will List Your Actual PageRank Wrong again! It will shows an actual snapshot. PR is relative. 3. PageRank is a Value Based on the Number of Incoming Links to Your Site Not exactly. Has to do with quality of the links. 4. Searching for Incoming Links on Google Using "link:" will Show you all Your Backwards Links Really? Then explain how 2020insight dot com has a PR of 4 but google shows only 3 links (internal at that) 5. Being Listed in the Open Directory Project Gives you a Special PageRank Bonus Sounds like a gameshow. 6. Being Listed in Yahoo! Gives you a Special PageRank Bonus Ditto. 7. Google Uses Meta Tags to Rank Your Site yes, 1 out of 10 so far. 8. Google Will Not Index Dynamic Pages Yes they will. 9. Google Will Not List Your Site, or Penalize it, if you use Popups Wrong again. www dot snagajob dot com uses popups and they have a PR of 6 plus 24 listings on DMOZ. 10. Google will Penalize you if You're Linked to by a Link Farm You mean to tell me Google will penalize me if site of which I have no control over decides to link to me? Get real.
I am offended by the fact that you would offer such bull$h!t to people on this forum and do it with confidence, I suggest you only makes post on this forum when you are asking for help as your advice is detrimental to everyone.
Hey, give the kid a break...he is trying to hit that threshold of 100 posts just so he can earn a few percentage of nickels from Adsense hehe I love the term backward links. Reminds me my wopperjaw and cattywampus links.
I reckon this was the first half of an article debunking the most ludicrous things the author had heard about SEO - but the idiot who copy and pasted it was too thick to realise and thought this was real advice
Chris Beasley..I remember belonging to his webmaster forum and that was back in 2005 maybe even earlier. This information is irrelevant and incorrect now and some of it was back then. DELETE
Quality unique content and backlinks are key if you want to get to that No 1 spot. A lot of luck helps also! Sometimes it's easy to get to the top but staying there is hard. Only a couple of months ago one of my sites was top for its keyword and I was making some good money, then all of a sudden the site ended up back on Page 8 and it's completely dried up. You need to make sites that people will find worthy of visiting, Google isn't stupid.
there is no connection between high pr and keyword ranking, higher pr doesn't mean, ur at rank at top of google.
The article that list comes from is called "Top 10 Google Myths Revealed". It was posted in 2002. The full article is at http://www.sitepoint.com/article/top-10-google-myths-revealed/
Oops!! Is Google showing wrong results? In Google Web Search PR8-PR9 sites(Altavista, Ask, Bing) are in top as compare with PR10 site(Google)
