Hey, Just noticed this facebook notification email, with a change : (name blanked out) So, facebook as adopted the twitter way of tagging people! H.
This just shows how popular and powerful Twitter is becoming. I believe it will surpass all of the other social networking sites soon enough.
Facebook have also got Facebook lite which is a shorter version of itself....like Twitter but with a FB twist! FB are just trying to reassure people in business that you don't just have to use Twitter because its short...but yes Twitter is awesome for advertising!
Not a chance. Twitter and Facebook, the #1 Social Networking site in the world, for instance, are 2 totally different things. Twitter will never have the functionality, capabilities, communication or true marketing potential as Facebook, or any other networking site where you can actually build a profile, and share more than just a link, and actually communicate with people on an adult and business level. Twitter is a glorified text messaging platform, and although I love it, and have multiple accounts on it that draw traffic to some of my sites, don't confuse popularity with actual functionality. If I had to choose which Social Network to include on my business card, it would be Facebook hands down. That's what the grown ups use.
I love that they added this feature! Is there a way to search if someone on my friends list mentioned me in their status?
well the whole concept of twitter is just few functions of facebook... so twitter doesnt actually attract me a lot
it's always funny watching those bash on Twitter when they don't use it properly..lol It's like saying.. motorcycles are crap.. oh and I don't know how to ride one
loco your right. there is alot of potential in both twitter and facebook. both are engineered to make peoples lives easier when communication is in question. They both are also great way to promote services and products. neither will die anytime soon.
unless another one comes... there was myspace , orkut i think people are using these less now and shifted to fb , twitter
