How many networks are you involved with?

I have heard some saying it's fine to be an affiliate with as many networks as possible - the more the better and then others say to limit your networks so that you can focus.

    What's the right approach?

Who really has the time to go through lots of affiliate programs and pick out banners and watch for promotions? Personally, I am happy with just one affiliate program and that is amazon.

I do not see how people manage their banners on 4 or 5 different affiliate programs, and the banner locations on their sites. It would be like a jig saw puzzle - take one banner from that affiliate program. And another banner from another affiliate program,,,, bah. To me that is a waste of time.

The people that probably say that are the ones that get banned from affiliate programs frequently.

There are a few reasons to keep more than a few accounts with a lot of networks. The first is to make sure you get paid the most for your work by checking the amount paid by each network for the same offer. The second reason is shaving. Run a test campaign on a few and see which one pays more. And then there is always blackhat. If one of your accounts get banned, just use the others!
