Under Iran's strict Sharia law, women sentenced to execution by stoning have their hands bound behind their back. They are wrapped from head to toe in sheets before being seated in a pit. The ditch is filled up to their breasts with dirt, and the soil is packed tightly before people assemble to execute the woman by pitching rocks at her head and upper body.

Article 104 of the Iranian Penal Code states that the stones used for execution should "not be large enough to kill the person by one or two strikes, nor should they be so small that they could not be defined as stones."

    haha... gotcha.. :D

So not being one believing in God, shouldn't it be better to study the religion book before opening a thread bringing up some issue as though it's such a big deal.. the answer to your curiosity is already in the God's book, go and study it then you'll find all the answers yourself...

Trust me, putting up this sort of thread won't help in your understanding of any religion better... unless that was not your main intention ... could it be?

Wouldn't it be better to just condemn barbaric practices such as stoning regardless of religion. Some of you are so pathetic you could see a innocent person being stoned in front of you and reserve judgment until you checked a book. Disgusting.

Simple.. let me put it this way...

If I said, let me stone you.. how do you imagine it would be?

Answers that, then compare it with what God really meant..

Then only will you know that "barbaric practices" is just one psychological statement meant to scare people like you..

More Islamic doublespeak. Why do you have such a hard time with HONESTY.

Do you support stoning of anyone for any reason?

Stop talking in riddles. I dont give a shit about your god nor your religion. From my perspective it is totally irrelevant. This is about so called humans behaving like a bunch of barbaric chimpanzees. They and anyone that supports such barbaric acts do not deserve time on this earth...

There was a time in my life I needed no reason what so ever to get stoned:D

But I am older and wiser now...

browntwn, I have come to the conclusion that discussions with the likes of CoolAss and New are a complete waste of time. They are from a different time way way in the past. Imagine your self what it would be like if suddenly you woke up in the 25th century.

That is the problem with people like you when understanding the true meaning has never been put into serious attention.. ends up letting it being judge emotionally...

Personally yea I agree with the stoning only with a right reason and a right technique.. Otherwise, it will be cruel and not fair to anybody

Huh.. I'm not surprise to hear that from people that support the killing of innocents, and seizing of lands from the rights.. isn't that even more barbaric..

Wheres the stoning is already been clearly detailed out in a way that nobody should get killed nor injured badly.. it's just one of the way of teaching the people that has been proven guilty.. Now do you find that more barbaric than killing innocents and stealing peoples land like what your people adores doing...

Okay, so we have established that you support stoning, but only for the right reasons and done with the right technique.

Can you give some examples of a "right reason" as I can think of none.

Also, what is a "right technique" for stoning someone? Does it have to do with where you aim the stone? Are there rules of etiquette regarding how to stone a woman?

Please educate me as to what qualifies as a "right reason" and "right technique" in your mind.
