    Hi,

I am looking forward to landing a project that requires me to write and submit an article to 50 different directories. I was asked for a price quote and am in a dilemma as to what is the correct compensation for this kind of work.. as it's a hell lot of manual labor and it'd love to get paid well . but on the other hand I fear losing the contract by quoting too high a price.. any advice u guys ??

    Thanks,

I cant give you your answer, but I'm sure Buy, Sell and Trade can - head over there and check out what people are charging for article submission, then add the cost of the article itself, which, if quality, could be around $1 per 100 words.

I'd say try estimating the amount of time you will spend doing these submissions. Then convert that time to articles and see how much you would've made if you were researching and writing through that time. Say you think it will take you two hours to submit to X number of directories. You can complete Y number of articles in two hours. Charge for Y number of articles when asked to submit to X number of directories.

It's only fair that you are paid for your time as a writer.

Like the others have said, check around the forums for people offering the same service.

You'll want to point out that you do this manually, what sites you submit to, etc.

Also, your experienced webmasters will want unique articles (same article reworded each time) submitted to each one.

You could always ask the guy if he'd have on going work and if that is the case maybe you could offer somewhat of a reduced rate for a little while - like a trial period. And then after that you raise it up to what you want to get paid.
