If you don't like the fact that Google or other search engines are using the OPD/DMOZ description of a site, I have seen a new tag that has not been proven yet, but is worth a try: <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOODP"> <META NAME="msnbot" CONTENT="NOODP"> <META NAME="googlebot" CONTENT="NOODP"> Code (markup):
I guess it was proven by Matt Cutts... http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-supports-meta-noodp-tag/ Put it on one of my websites, on which Google shows ODP title. Will notify you if it works...
I hadn't seen Cutts' information on this - thanks for the confirmation. Also, I'd be interested in knowing if you see results; thanks!
