I was wondering what are your best achievements when it comes to ranking in Google? I don't mean searchin for your domain and appearing number 1, I mean popular search term positions. My best was number 6 ranking for 'Cheats' in google. I have since lost this but one day I will get it back. What is your best achievement so far?
I've reached position #1 for a client's personal website. The search term was a common name: "John Andersen". That was my best so far. I have made it to front page many times though for other sites.
I have placed many sites into #1st position, its great when you make a site about a product and your position it higher than the official site, it's even better when they pay you commissions for their products that you sell. My latest project is a HTML 5 Tutorials website, keep an eye on it as its only a few weeks old and is already ranking very well, give me another month and i will have #1 position for all related keywords.
I've had a few keywords at #1 out of 10,000,000 results but the best I've had is really #5 out of 200,000,000.
surely those would have been and are currently google.com (whatever tld) but the official google site? o wait i may have read it wrong, was the word 'technology' what you used to rank for? I searched for 'google technology' lol bit slow today!
I have a bunch of movie reviews that are first in google if not first page Too bad its for the lesser searched movies
Was used to be at first, second place for country name + hotels or +accommodation, now around the whole caffein integration I am nowhere for the first of these. Fortunately, still in the top positions for many city names + hotels or +accommodation, etc.
Well..I got top 10 ranking on these keywords Application development application development company Custom application development Software development company... But this was not a good achievement...I got business from there and that was my real achievement...
I have reached #1 with some of my websites on various search engines for a number of keywords, but it depends on what you mean by "popular search terms."
What SEO techniques are you using to get your site well ranked in google results? I checked it using this position checker tool and it doesn't show up in first 100 results. I searched it for the keywords "html tutorials". Is it optimized to rank well for some other keywords?
First on "english connectors" and "notas musicales" for a while. Now I'm still in the top 5 for both terms. Still first on "gorgeous singles", though.
I am just working on "HTML 5" related searches at the moment, once im in first i will target other words around this. HTML 5 is the upcoming Hyper Text Markup Language.. I think there is way to much competition for HTML tutorials, so mainly concentrating on HTML5 for the time being. Thanks for the link "position checker" that will be handy, Cheers and good luck
Currently #6 (at times #2) for Mediafire (google.fr) Currently #3 for 4shared (google.fr) Currently #3 for zshare (google.es) Currently #4 for Badongo (google.co.jp) Plus several other #1's for single word and longtail keywords for all TLD's, some bring a lot of traffic, some bring a very little. Cheers James
For me it was the keyword "Japanese used cars" shown in Top 26 last June 6, 2009 though the site was not yet stable..
