If my niche is loan, which one pay out more? adsense ads in blog at blogger.com? OR adsense ads on a regular website? What are good and bad about making adsense money from a blog at blogger.com/blogspot? Does Google CUT a big share of my adsense revenue if ads are in a blog at blogger.com?
There will be no variation. Why would they (Google) penalise bloggers who use their platform over someone like Wordpress? That would be stupid. Loan isn't really a niche... is it payday loans? poor credit loans?... If you can convert then affiliate programs are much better. You could get say $400 for a lead as an affiliate. You'd probably get 4$ from Adsense.
It should be the same. However, if you are going to go and spend a ton of time getting traffic to your Blogger Blog you are at risk. You could get your site taken down for a number of reasons. You are far better off building your own website and focusing on driving traffic to your own domain. This is a much less risky strategy and highly recommended. The last think you want is to spend all that time on your site and then lose it. What a WASTE ! Get a domain and put Wordpress on it.
Takes two minutes to transfer from Blogspot to a fresh domain dude. As far as rankings go for Blogspots, type through "Make Money Online" in Google and you'll have two Blogspotters pretty much sitting in the first few places and everyone is going after these spots. Makes no difference what you use, it's really down to how good you are with link building. Adsense is just a numbers game anyway.
It is better to have your own domain name and have it paid hosted for obvious reasons which were discussed many number of times in this forum...
To me, I've love to buy domain and use my hosting to install Wordpress. Nothing can be better than that.
I agree with Ryan. There is no differences in the platform. However, I feel that if you put equal effort into both, your own domain will do better =) Just my thoughts!
- there will be difference in adsense revenue on both the sites bu -- build your traffic for your own site not blogger.com -- in future blogger.com might change TOS and you might get rev share or no rev at all -- i will suggest to have your own domain and work on it.
Adsense dont bother whether you are using own site or free blog from blogger. They only care about the quality of the blog. They are both same in adsense, i get average $1 CPC from one of my blogspot blog which same as my website.
It depends upon the traffic of the blog, what so ever it is, blogger or ur site,, and how well have you placed the ads..
What kind of impression are you trying to give your readers? If you are going to be authoritative original-content site then have your own website, if you will only comment on and copy content from other news sites then go for Blogspot.
making a new domain name reputable is a hard work but in the end if you success it would be bigger than a blogspot blog. Right now I'm earning all my earnings from Hubpages because it brings much more search engine traffic than my own blog.
As far as Adsense goes, as everyone said, really makes no difference. No values are changed because of the platform you use. As for traffic, credibility and the rest, own domain is definitely better. Gives you a better control over every aspect of your site. However, it is also more time-consuming, for people who are just starting and have little experience.
