Mesotholemlia, lawyers, and asbestos. Hard to get in, but those are the highest paying, and have been for some years now.
That's true, but you really need to establish it first before putting in the ads. If your visitors smell that you're trying to make money off them, they'll be gone in a heartbeat. No one likes to give loyalty to someone who just wants to make a buck off them.
how much? im shooting for 2k/month after i place my adsense then expanding from there on up.. skys the limit
Just aim for a topic in which you can write a lot of content, and you will be fine. If you are interested in more than 1 topic create another site/blog. Remember: Content rules
Oh yes, what I didn't mention earlier is that you get money when people click on you ads, and ads are from companies selling things. So, if your visitors are in a "buying things" frame of mind, they will click on ads more than people who are in a "looking for information" frame of mind. Therefore, I think that a site such as "what is the best type of xyz to buy" is good, because you will be attracting people who are already in a buying mood. Having said that, my best earning page is about a computer game, but that is purely down to sheer weight of traffic.
Going the Web 2.0 way will likely to get you a lot of traffic and it's the public participation on the site. So without saying, the traffic will be high but make sure your web 2.0 is innovative!
probably wallpaper sites and celebrity sites are really good. at least you can get loads of traffic are there any good wallpaper site scripts out there? just asking.. Thanks
Web 2.0 means a number of things. To one person it's all about mashups, to others it means Flex or AJAX, to others it means user supplied content like myspace. I modeled SalaryMap.com after a very old salary survey site but you might consider it Web 2.0 based on that but the map makes it definetly Web 2.0 and now I have big name job sites contacting me to co-brand.
