    Hi to all,
One of my site in top 20 SERP in Google. now what can I do to move my site to top ten and then top 5 ranks. I believe that submission on book marking sites, Forum Posts, blog comments and article post are good for that.
But let me know what are you thinking towards this direction.

Article writing is probably the most effective thing you listed but extremely time consuming. You can outsource this task to someone but that would depend on how serious you are about your site. Try writing (2) 300-400 word and submitting them everyday and you will see some results. Submit two the top 10 article directories and you'll increase your ranking, it just takes time

Honestly, all the responses are blah blah blah.

You want to be on page one?

    Simple.

Go look at those 10 sites and see what they are doing that you're not. Writing 4,000 articles and submitting them might not even make a dent. Without knowing your site and your KWP exactly, no one can give you specific advice that's worth anything.

    Start here for those 10:

    1. Check on-page SEO compared to you.

    2. Look at backlink QUALITY compared to you.

2A. Do they have edu/gov links? How many?

2B. Are their links from high PR / well-trusted authority sites?

    3. Look at their page's overall PR and determine if it's just passed from homepage or is earned.

    4. Look to see how many of those top 10 are inner pages and how many are home pages.

    etc . . .

It would be easier if you let us know your site details.

I can suggest some working points that can help your SERP ranking, all you can do it by yourself.

Basically, if I were you, I will check few points here:

    1. Domain age - Make sure your domain expiry is more than one year (5 years is good)

    2. If your site have http://www and http:// with no proper redirection, you might lose some quality backlinks there. Check it with http://websitegrader.com

    3. Get more anchored keyword dofollow backlinks from high PR and related pages. You can use linkbaits, blog commenting, link exchange, article submission (unique), and more.

Do quality off page work on your focused keywords..
    1. Social bookmarks - Make attractive and killer title and description....
    2. Article Posting - Write unique content and post it regularly to top article directories...
    3. Blog Comment - First find out relevant blogs on your keywords and than post you comments...
    4. Forum posting - Here many forums are available - chose right one to post....
    5. Press Release - Publish news on most popular PR websites with correct info....

i hope doing these thing u will be able to see your website in first page in SERP.... :)

Besides all the great tips above, adding content that will keep visitors watching or reading for longer time will cause visitors longer in your site and this can be tracked by Google

If people will stay longer in your site than they do in the sites that rank above you. your site will get better ranking.

Here's my plan of attack when trying to hit the top 10 results of google.... Of course there are other ways in which you can do this, and it shouldn't be limited to only this.

    1) Submit your website onto the top major social bookmark sites like digg, technorati, stumble, etc... (digg being my number 1 choice)

    2) Submit your website to the top search engines using IBP (internet business promoter). It will also tell you what you're doing wrong in terms of SEO + your landing pages.

    3) Write 10 articles, submit them to ezinearticles, use SEnuke to rewrite those 10 articles, and resubmit them to various other article directories.

    4) Create a youtube video with your corresponding keywords "Joe's repair shop video" if you're trying to rank for "Joe's repair shop".

    5) Rinse and repeat - find backlinks pertaining to your niche (you can do this via forums).

    6) Find forums that use dofollow (refer to this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1508346)

    7) Watch your rankings rise on Google, rinse and repeat

Voila, simple yet effective steps to ranking on Google. These should not be limited to this, and you can always do more to rank effectively on the SERPs.

Yes, i do refer to the time spent on the site.

It is well known that google (as well as other SE's) can track the time spent in a website.

if people spend more time in your website, this means that there's content which they find interesting enough to stay and read\watch.

if your site is interesting for people who search for specific terms, this means it has content that is relevant to the search and it will rank higher (with time, not overnight)
