Vinmann, you mean making a rewrite of the original article and then submit it to the 5 best articles directories, or make 5 different rewritings of the article and submit one for each directory? I have often wondered which method is best.

I will suggest to wait for some time before submitting your articles to article directories. May be, you should wait for 12 or more days. That way, your site will get all the benefit for the new content and will get the traffic from SEs. After that, you can submit these articles to directories.

Well, if you have the time to write 2 separate versions of each article then still keep submitting since you will post one version on your blog and the other submit to the directory. However, I do not have the time nor patience to rewrite 1,000+ word articles so I decided not to submit them anymore to directories. Article spinners could work, but I do not think people will find spun articles of any value to them and will soon label you as a spammer.

Thanks for the info guys. If I sell a sports betting system, would it be beneficial to create a blog in an attempt to drive more traffic to my squeeze page?

Thank you. How would you recommend this? I'm not very familiar with blogs..

Should I set up a seperate domain that blogs about the product? Or one that blogs about sports betting in general?

Do you know any good companies or freelancers that handle this?

Target sports betting only. Do not make a sports blog in general since there are 1000s of such wanna-be blogs out there. Add the blog to your existing domain like blog.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com/blog. You do not need a separate domain. WordPress is free and most Web hosts have a setup tool for WordPress.

Right now, the quickest way to get traffic for your blog is probably social networking like twitter. You can get massive amounts of people on twitter to visit your blog, once you update your twitter account with your blog's rss feeds. Each time your blog posts an update, it will post it on twitter and you WILL get traffic to your blogs.

Social bookmarking websites can bring you a lot of traffic if you have something that users want.

Articles don't really bring you traffic. They build backlinks which increases your SERPS.

Not many people search for what your offering > end up on article > end up on your site?

Should articles be informative or written to sell? (sports betting industry - a system)

If You Want Your Site Get More Traffic From Search Engine.
Then Submit every article you post on your site to Social Bookmarking sites like digg.com, mixx.com, propeller.com etc etc.

    Thanks
