Yep, doesn't sound like a good idea. I'm a little weary of using software for most things. Much rather have it done manually. What was the software?

You might be submitting them in 25 minutes - but it'll take weeks, if not months for all 600 of those directories to put your link up. So, no I doubt it'll do any harm
(probably won't do all that much good either)

If it's using automated software, then yes.

There are great services here on the forum offering manually submissions.

You should always try to do manual things with SEO.
If you are detected bumping your efforts for Search Engine Optimization, you will receive immediate penalty from Search Engines. So, please avoid that!

Forget about the search engine submission software - submit a sitemap to your webmaster tools instead. There is no reason to submit each page to the search engines, they are designed to crawl your site and find the new pages.

If your concerned about search engines finding the inner pages, the sitemap is the best way to go

The problem is that it isn't going to seem natural. There is probably a good chance that Google will flag your site as spam and penalize it.

Don't submit with automatic submission. If you submit manually then i don't think your site will be banned

Make a list of the major search engines and submit your website manually. Try and avoid using auto submission softwares.

NO - It wont. only question is - how good will it do to your rankings? I guess that of these 600 directories, most of them do not carry much significance in SE eyes...

a better method would be to get a link to each of the 600 sites, your going to have to get it done one day, why not start out like this?

Google will then crawl your site without you having to submit.

Since it is a 25-minute matter, I guess it's fully automated software, which gives you no idea of what and where you are submitting.

Your submission will be rejected by most of the 600 directories - at least by the ones that make some sense.

A lot of web masters think that directories are things of the past. I would agree plus some directories charge you for it and others link to something with a PR of 0. So why bothering? As it has been pointed out go to Google Webmaster tools and get a site map of you site then upload it. Next write some good articles around your keywords which you want to rank for and submit to EZA and/or Go articles. This will get you ranked and crawled by Google and is legit. Plus you get good content for website which Google loves. Instead of trying to cheat Google just give them what they want. Good content.

Most likely not. If those sites are directories then it'll take days, weeks, or even months for them to approve your listing. And even after they do, it may take Google days or weeks to index those links after they appear on the directory.

However if you are using automated software to submit to directories, you should use one that allows different titles and descriptions. Using the same title and description for all your directory submissions can get you penalized or sandboxed.

You shouldnt need to submit to search engines, they search!

Doing anything on mass in an automated fashion is a simply the fastest way to ruin your rankings.

Search engines want to display the most relevant sites not the most SEO' (there is a difference).

If they are directories i will accept is. As they take long time to approve and get indexed. But if it is in good profile websites you risk your SEO strategy.

Ground rule: Do not build your link that fast. For a new website I recommend 10 per day.
