Just got my own YPN account... rates are pathetic.

I ran YPN ads for somebody else 2 months ago, and was getting $1/click. Now I got my own account and Im getting less than 1/5 of that....
Did YPN lower their rates by this much?

how long have you had the ads up? Sometimes it takes a while for the yahoo to find the right ads. It might also help to use the categories to target the ads. When I leave ads untargetted i usually get $.05 RPC. Targetted I get around $1 RPC, try it out and tell us if you see positive results

yes, for me anyway they have falling that much. August is the first month this year that I have had Adsense earnings being more for 2 days, then YPN rates were, it's horrible......... I run YPN on 90% of my sites and Adsense earnings bet YPN.

I got a ypn click the other day and it earned me 9 cents. It was early morning, It showed clicks: 1 Earnings were: 9 cents.
I run 5 sites all on different subjects etc, and it's like that accross all of them now. I was actulay doing great until July hit...... July was bad, Aug is a LOT worse.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have noticed that my RPC this month (Aug) has been under 25 cents every day

I put the ads on 2 days ago. Im getting over 350+ clicks per day and the revenue is still int he double digit.

What are some of the higher paying targetting categories?

YPN seems to still pay more than Adsense...

    Chitika pays well also.

i tried chikita.... it performed horribly for me. i dont think you'll find any program that pays as well as ypn and adsense... maybe tribal fusion... anyone tried that?

with the rates dropping on ypn i've started looking for direct advertisers for my sites

Tribal Fusion is hard to get into, even with a large site they are picky.

Congratulations on the Ypn. Too bad the rates are low, maybe they'll go up though.

.20 cents per click? I wish I could average that. I would consider yourself lucky.

I use Tribal Fusion. The CPM comes out to about twice what I get in YPN, but it only fills about 20%-25% of my inventory; it also has the hands down worst publisher portal in history.

Anyone notice a severe drop in RPC in the last 2 days?

It's likely to go up but it may just be because of targetting for me. for example I got more clicks but made less.

    Who knows...
