I am sick and tired of Google's ranking eHow and Getridofthings.com so favorably. You can have an exact match .com for something like "How to get rid of [thing]" and it doesn't matter how established your site is or how good of SEO you're doing... it seems that eHow and getridofthings.com will always rank at the top, even if the phrase isn't an exact match for their articles and despite the fact that their 1 page articles on whatever the topic is are low quality.
I feel the same way about craigslist, backpage and kijiji. I own a service related website, and it seems that postings on these sites rank better than my established sites. Even though the posts on this site are temporary and expire after 7 days. It's too the point that when searching for a service on google, it looks entirely spammy because all it returns is classified ads from craigslist etc.
Hardly credible. eHow posts crap 300 word articles with no real information (probably outsourced to cheap overseas copywriters) and they are getting over 20 million UMV according to Compete. Virtually every article is useless spam in my opinion. It's disgusting and hurts real web developers that actually create useful content.
