I have problems submitting a website's sitemap to google sitemap. I used free site map generator to generate the sitemap. Then I save the sitemap and upload it to my web server of the website. I then submit the sitemap to google webmaster tools. But google webmaster tools keep stating that my sitemap is missing the xml in the url which i am very puzzled! I already added sitemap.xml to the url when i submit it to google webmaster tools...pls help...
Have you check the page? is it available? Means can you browse to http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml? If not you should find the exact path and give the same path to google.
Yes i can browse www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml...i can see all the various pages in it... What exactly is the problem? Google webmaster tools keep having problems indexing my sitemap...i am using a free online sitemap generator to generate sitemaps for my websites. Thanks for your help. Maybe you can give me more advice on this?
