you can also do paid advertising also for me i don't bother with SEO because it is just to time consuming and you don't have any control. Your business is at the mercy of yahoo, msn or google need help with getting more traffic then check out Rush Hour Traffic
You did a good job,but I still have something to say: 1.you can register in some famous and related forums.And make sure to do some contributions to the forums.When your influence becomes huger and huger,the flows will also benefit form it. 2.If you want a quicker way,you not only need to do the points above just as you mentioned,but also you should also try some ads such as google adwords.This will quickly increase your tracffic if you think it's worthy.But you'd better have a budget in yout mind.That will do good to you.
I can honestly say I have never used paid advertising yet! I seem to do alright with organic marketing! Not too sure on how Adwords etc work, I need to read up on it I guess
I have found by going through classified advert sites and emailing people your link, introducing your website helps. But obviously only send when it is relevant. Loads of people email back saying thank you. Also if you get an email spider that can go through Google on specific search terms. I have a actor/model site and would get the spider to extract emails that are relevant to what i'm providing. Even go through the list to delete anything you think might cause you trouble, then just send an email to them introducing yourself. People don't mind when it is related to them somehow. I have even had people email me back offering link backs.

We spend time on getting referrals from customers. It definitely drives traffic to our site and it's good quality because of the referral. Asking for testimonials, doesn't help so much with the traffic, but does give your site credibility. They much be genuine to properly work.
