Wordpress

    I want to build a landing page using wordpress and I was wondering if there is any problem using Fantastico to install wordpress or should I just install using wordpress's instructions. I've never done this before.

    if possible avoid using Fantastico.

    Fantastico may not give you the latest version.

    older versions have a lot of security-related issues and so it is always recommended that you use the latest version of wordpress.

    Use Fantastico for the initial install. No problems.

    You can update to the latest version of WordPress through the WordPress administration panel. As a bonus, the admin panel displays a warning bar when it's time to update. Just follow the directions.

    I guess we can upgrade to new versions of Wordpress from our blog dashboard itself . From Wordpress 2.8 we can install and upgrade themes ,plugins etc. all from dashboard . So first install Wordpress via cPanel fantastico and upgrade via dashboard .
