Using articles for Blog and bum marketing?

so I created a blog and had a writer help me write 5 articles. I am planning to use it for content and also to submit to sites like ezine and other article sites for article marketing however I'll rewrite it completely. How do you think that will work out, do you think ezine will accept the articles even though they are rewritten totally if I have a similar one on my blog?
Is it better to choose three articles for content and then two for marketting but the problem is I'm really trying to stretch my budget as I already spent about 80 bucks for domain name and hosting but in the end decided to use a blog from blogger so it blog get more views since it's part of blogger and probably has better page ranking compared to a new domain I just bought. So in the end I already spent around 100 this month. I'm probably going to spend another $50 on articles so I have enough to keep the blog going with content for the month or two but I don't want to spend more money buying more articles for ezines. I mean if I have good content why am I giving it to other sites lol.

Submit it to ezinearticles first, then put it on your blog, it's easier. If you put it on your blog first you'll need to prove to them that it's your blog. The other article directories aren't as strict, and since you'll be rewriting them you shouldn't have a problem.

I hope you did your keyword research on the keywords you're targeting. Some people have been successful creating backlinks to the ezinearticles article from the other article directory.

Oh ok thanks for the advice, That sounds like a good idea only down side is ezine takes forever to approve articles but I guess you can't have the best of both worlds. Yeh I need to do some reading on keywords, I'm just putting random keywords right now common keywords that come to my head I guess I should check for words with high search and low competition but I can't find any site that does that I know google has a keyword tool, would it be advisable to use that?
    Thanks

Google's keyword tool is way off if you don't use the exact match, it's on broad match by default, but even that tends to be skewed. I use the seobook and wordtracker keyword tool as well in addition to Google Adwords tool. Just Google - keyword tools - and it should be the top 3 listings. You can also use commercial tools like microniche finder and market samurai, I think they have free trials.

If you're hosting a domain on a webhost and they use Awstats just log into your cpanel and click Site Stats or something like that. If not, your webhost should have some type of stats. Just be aware that you should scroll to the bottom of Awstats and look for keywords/search phrases and not the hits, if you have graphics on your page you'll get hits that's not actually people.

Alternatively you can also try searching Google for "site tracker" and you'll find both free and paid versions.

And I almost forgot you can use Google Analytics for free also, probably a better choice.

I think you should put the articles on ezine articles first and then try to re write and use it foe your blog. That will solve the problem.Another thing,If you have already spend money on buying domain names then try to concentrate on that domain. If your blog is for marketing purpose then surely free domain blog (like blogspot) will do worse compared to .com or .org domains(paid domains).I hope it helped.

It's an authority site just like ezinearticles, although ezinearticles is more effective in getting traffic... somewhat.

JMO but beacuse they're authority sites these are good far faster short term results, they could always change their TOS and all the work you've done will be for nothing. Use them short term results, but it's good to have a domain that you have full control over. I'd use them for fast short term results, but have a domain for long term results. I use blogger, wordpress, squidoo for backlinks.

Yeah when geocities closed some people lost websites they'd been building for years. Even though Ezinearticles and Blogger won't close they could change the TOS. I went through something similar when Amazon barred Hawaii affiliates for a couple of weeks.

oh wow, so its basically like a game of chance but the problem is I don't want to procrastinate anymore and if I create a site it'll take longer and more tedious then just a premade template to add text and I would use the site builder provided but I registered it for another domain name and hostgator only allow one use of sitebuilder for your main site.

I have one last question, when I'm finding keywords am I looking for keywords with high competition an high searches or low competition and high searches. I know it's suppose to be low competition and high Searches but then if you have high competition shouldn't you be paid more per adsense click? Also competition is it reffering to adwords competition or number of sites is there any tool where you can see the adwords competition, number of sites and number of searches?
    Thanks

If it's going to be a Wordpress blog your host provider may have Fantastico or some other script to make it a one click install. Even installing it manually isn't hard. I'd suggest using Wordpress because it's a popular platform and there's plenty of free plugins and templates. I switched from HTML to Wordpress and it's not as flexible, but so much easier. If you do want to do it in HTML you can download Kompozer.net for free, you don't need to know HTML to use it.

The adsense click prices aren't determined by competition. Basically what you're looking for is high amount of searches and low competition in the non-sponsered/ non-Adwords listings.

You can use the Google Adwords tool - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

But keep in mind this is for Adwords advertisers.

There's a drop down menu that let's you see the bid prices, competition, etc., but from my experience even the "exact match" is not that accurate for organic searches which is what you're looking for because it uses the content network for their Adwords advertisers. But it's still good for some forms of researching.

Sure thing. You can probably find some tutorials at youtube.com and there's a ton of free templates. Just do a search for free wordpress templates. If you need to upload anything you can do it from your Cpanel "File Manager", but filezilla or any free ftp program is so much quicker. If you can't find a template you like I'd suggest the warriorforum.com special offer forum, there's a couple of people selling Wordpress templates that you can modify (footer). Here's a site I'm just starting on home-theater-system-reviews.com using one of the templates and GIMP (free) to make the header.

Just note that Wordpress needs to be updated occaisionally, but it's a one click update. But you want to go to Tools/Export and download the files AND template first before you upgrade in case something happens. I've upgraded dozens of domains dozens of times without problems, but just in case.

Almost forgot to mention this, but when you've setup Wordpress check Settings/Privacy in your dashboard and make sure it's set to spider your site and not block the searchengines. Some hosts have it set to block them by default. Almost forgot, age I guess :(
