TrafficGeek.net has just opened a webmaster forum yesterday.

This forum contains webmaster discussions on seach engines, seo, webdesign and internet marketing. The site also has a free marketplace.

I would be interested in having DP members look and this forum and offer suggestions on site design, content or any other suggestions regarding the site. I would be interested in hearing if there are any other sections that I should have added.

You can visit the forum at http://www.forum.trafficgeek.net

Pretty good, I like the color scheme and the layout. Could use some more post though. Consider hiring a forum posting company?

Thanks for your comments. The site is only 1 day told and I am not concerned about no visitors at this time.

A huge posting contest is planned for next month. I will also be doing a lot of paid advertising promoting the forum.

At this point I am looking for suggestions about the site.

Your header is absolute crap to be honest. You should blend it more and take out the picture of the old guy looking at the computer. Try to compare your forum to successful ones, that should help you.

Your site is nice. Would suggest that you reduce the header size. Also, you should also consider adding FEEDBACK section in your forum as valuable feedback posted by the users will help you in improving your forum.

It is just ok, your header is not suitable for the forum as it wastes space and looks like it is from a free template.

Thanks for all of the feedback on the header design.

The reason for having this type of header was for it to stand out. The header shows links to all of the services that I offer. More services are planned. It seems to be working, as I have seen visitors come to the site on one service, click on one of the header links, and then purchase something on another service.

For example, the page at http://www.seotools.trafficgeek.net/ gets more than 50 uniques and 500 page views per day on the average. Many visitors have clicked on some of the header links.

But from the feedback I am reading on this forum is that the header really doesn't work for the forum. Possibly that it is too large or stands out too much.

Does anyone think that I should use some type of header similiar to what http://www.sitepoint.com/ is using?

Please feel free to continue to comment on other issues on my forum.

Design is very nice.. But I think you should now just focus on making it content rich and very active.

My only observation is that you have not managed to remove the invasionboard deafult favicon icon.

Love the structure of the forum. I think you have covered the design pretty much.

Now is the hardest part waiting for you; content and marketing.

What is the importance in removing the favicon icon?

Content will increase naturally. The forum is only open for about 2 days and 3 new messages have already been posted today.

I feel that you should use header similar to Sitepoint as it looks good.

While I do not believe displaying the InvisionBoard logo using the InvisionsBoard forum script would cause any issues, I deleted it anyway.

    Thanks for the info.

Very clean, you use soft combination of colors for design. I think people will love it.

But you should promote it better, a forum is nothing without members. There's still very few members and they are not too active yet.
