My new blog got indexed in Google in less than a week.

Oh my God! I started a blog as a joke and within a few days it was on Google. I don't get it, but, hey.

To be fair, I created it a few months ago, but, posted absolutely nothing. Last week, I read a post on DP saying how important blogging is as a marketing tool, so I decided to post on the blog.

Anyway, it's from blogspot/blogger and I'm very impressed that it was picked up on Google.

So, I guess, if you want to market something, create a blogger blog.

the URL is less then 3 weeks old now

it's amazing what a few quality back links will do for you

btw, its on my own url. I'd never used a blogspot or blogger type of site, i don't understand why ppl waste their time with those * confused*

my new insurance site is going to feature a blog, hopefully that gets some traffic and like yours.. not sure how its going to work, we'll see who my company finds that can actually write good content for this section.

 

My main sites don't have rss feeds. So I signed up with Blogger as a goof and pinged the feed. I was able to use a template, but, reconstructed it completely to have a few adsense, and to take away a lot of the extra crap.

 

Because blogger is Free, easy to use and simple to earn $$$ with!! Plus blogger blogs seem to index quickly. I have one simple blog earning me a good portion of my internet $$$ making.

 

I bought a new domain on 1st august , installed wordpress on it.
On 2nd august its indexed ,and on 3d august i see 108 pages indexed
Only backlink was from the feeds

 

I might have to try out wordpress too!!

 

Lots of congratulations factchecker ! :d Are you also getting traffic from Google? and what about MSN and Yahoo. I think you should be seeing some regular traffic from Search Engines now

 

All experiments I've made with blogspot were index between 1 and 7 days so

It's in all the search engines..... I wonder how long this will last until someone stops it. I say... get in before it's too late.. Thanks

 

Congrats! I have a blogger blog from awhile back but it never really got indexed that well.

 

WordPress is easy to get listed. I pinged mine 4 times and it's now on Google.

 

can you use wordpress in normal sites and what exactly does it do to help you get listed?

 

Its for that guy's have financial sleekness. They can make easy money from blogger its a helpfully.

Hey. I didn't even think about it but I just checked the name of my blog and it is on top of google's list. Pretty cool. Who would have thought. But then again what other webpage would have a name such as "Meditations of Comrade D."

 

i would rather get a fee blog at wordpress as i can easily move the database when i am ready.

 

When you guys talk about pinging your blog, what does that mean? I am new to all this and trying to soak up all the info I can. I own a website but did not design it so I am playing catch up really.
