    Did the google search input box get bigger? It looks so ugly now :(

    I noticed something wierd yesterday too. I think the font is different in the search bar.

    yes it is correct , text area and font size bigger both bigger. I think they are doing some testing :)

    yeah you are right, this is the change i observed yesterday evening.
    Input text box is bigger.
    First i have checked the resolution of my lcd, it was ok.
    then i came to know it was change in their design of landing page.

    Lolz, i noticed when you told me,,, Its realy looking ugly firstly i thought their is some problem in my Browser settings but its not happening only with me...

    yes.. you are right, I also notice this change in today morning only..

    even i also found some noticeable change in search results..
    is it because of Google caffeine (Its new architecture) implementation?

    I am curious to know this..

    Yes, I noticed that change yesterday but was not sure if its a change or is something wrong with my PC. Anyway, now I know this is a Google change and my PC is ok :)

    Google bumps up size of search box. It indicates that search awareness is increased. People prefer to search long tail queries/keywords rather than short term keywords.

    it is better, in my opinion, though I grant you viewing in 800 screen it does look very large
