How to Check Competatitive pages?

    How to Check how many Competatitive pages for my keyword.

    Now i'm just type that keyword in the google search box and see the amount of result pages.

    is this good or any other methods or tools?

    Use quotes around your keyword "weight loss" when doing the search to give you an idea of competitive pages. There's some commercial tools that will give you that info, but the Firefox browser and the seo quake addon might be all you need, it'll give you PR, backlinks, edu backlinks, etc.
