    I'm not impressed at all.

I know of no good liquid explosives.

Personally, I think these guys are idiots - I'm not concerned at all.

At our airport they are saying we need combination locks for our suitcase instead of normal key locks as we can't take any type of key. Any keys have to be in our suitcase.

Plenty of restrictions have been imposed, now you can't carry any liquid including sunscreen, makeup, contact lens solution, perfume, liquor, juices, coffee .....

    its going to be painful..

You're right... they're just liquid explosives... not enough to be a felony or kill people or distract the pilots in SOME way enough to crash a plane. After all, it IS only an explosion on board.

So if a guy held a nitro bomb next to you with an electronic detonator, would you worry? Or say, "Hey! That's cool, I want to see a little *pop*!"

SERIOUSLY, get your head screwed on straight.

What's he supposed to do, run around screaming like his ass was on fire? Over reacting is just want the terrorists want. My guess is this'll be old news by next week. People in the UK and London especially have lived under threat of terrorist attacks for 30 years, believe it or not terrorists weren't invented on 9/11, London just gets on with things.

I don't see how protecting people is over-reacting.

They don't want over-reacting, anyway. They want to see people die.

Death of people results in mass fear.

So, they - in the PROCESS of wanting fear - want the death of people. INNOCENT and unexpecting people.

And that's why we're protecting people.

You just said they want people to over-react, and now you say they want fear. Which is it?

I see the usual suspects are disappointed another terrorist plot was foiled. In my book, these are enablers (ie, supporters). Has anyone used the tiny majority card yet?

First call on glenn beck this morning was a guy saying the plot is a coverup to distract from lieberman having his head handed to him (very apropro terminology I thought) on tuesday. Typical, came to mind as well. The usual suspects sputtering out the usual things.
