What brings more traffic?

Do you get more traffic from Google search when you post your article on your blog only or when you post it on your blog and submit it to article directories? I posted 2 articles I wrote only on my blog and it seems that I'm getting a lot more traffic for them than the ones I also submitted to article directories. Article directories are good for building backlinks but I think they may take away some traffic from your blog or website.

Yes, don't submit the exact same blog post, write unique articles...

From my experience though, as long as you write tons of quality blog post, you don't need any article directory rubbish and you will get tons of traffic from SEs.

create unique and new articles on topics which weren't previously discussed. As said before naturally you'll receive alot of traffic.

But I do not have time to rewrite my articles before submitting them to article directories. I think from now on, I will stop submitting to article directories since they bring very little traffic anyways and will just post my articles on my blog and submit them to Digg or Reddit to get indexed faster and maybe get a few diggs. Article directories do help with link building, but Google has this sandbox effect which means it will take a lot of time for these links to help my fairly new website and I need traffic now.

Let me summarize this for you:

Article directory owners need more articles because more content will bring them more traffic and I bet you anything they all have some sort of AdSense going on, on their websites. (Go back and look)

So to get more articles they do this "You get PR yada yada" which works perfectly. And guess what, you DON'T get PR...

Now someone who doesn't realize and submits their same exact articles to their directories and there are most definitely others who do this too all the time and the article directory owner gets all the contents and all the traffic and all the Ad clicks ALL for FREE and 1 person out of 1,000 will click on your link.

Google will send the traffic there since there is tons more content there than on your website so that site will look like an authority in compared to your website and in the eyes of Google, you copied your blog post from there...

    Make a sense?

Write articles related to your website and you can rewrite them as well. Yes you cant post same in directories as google which catch it as a copied one, Hire an article writer to help you out. Thus you will have new articles for submissions.

I would say search engine will bring more traffic. The article submission site no doubt can give you good traffic when you submit your article, but the traffic will stop after few days. Therefore, i prefer SE traffic which drive traffic to my site time to time

Use an article spinner to create unique content from your own original text.

That's what I thought. But how can Google say I copied the article from the directory when I first posted the article on my blog? I will not waste time with article directories anymore as I am not going to write separate articles just for them to give me some measly PR. They make more money from my articles than I will ever do since they're a bigger site and get more traffic which comes from people like me and you who submit articles regularly to them.

Just focus on top 5 article directories and take time to rewrite before submitting to each of them.

Rewrite articles before sending them as they might be considered to be just duplicates if they're totally similar.
