although that is a VERY handy plugin (which I do use on some blogs) I find it better to just have original fresh content..

but none the less, very nice plugin!

anyone know of one that i can maybe show like the top 3 post's as random post's on my mainpage, then the next 7 are in order of addition? I'd like to get some of the older post's back up to the front to get some views/exposure

I think you cannot display a random on your post but this will limit the number of post on your index.

    http://justinblanton.com/2005/02/limit-number-of-posts-with-wordpress

just add the recent posts on your main page, for exposure of your older posts..

I found an old random post plugin for wordpress (WP Random Posts 1.1) that I use on all of my sites. It's really quite configurable.

I use it to help the spiders see more of my sites. I just place the randomizer under a heading of "Most Popular" in the sidebar and everything works perfectly (ie; www.data-entry-jobs.net)

    Direct download link: http://www.w-a-s-a-b-i.com/downloads/random-posts.zip

    Website link: http://www.w-a-s-a-b-i.com/archives/2004/05/27/wordpress-random-posts-plugin/

Maybe it will do want you want. Good luck.

I like the stats program I maintain on Q's Wire... however I had to make a lot of changes to the underlying sql calls.

I have found that most of the free plugins have problems so when I agree to install them for a client-- it is with the understanding that this will cost more.

    Q...
