Useful post..Another thing which I believe is Market yourself.. you can use it as a central point to control all activities like facebook , Digg and Flickr...

I like it because even the spammers tend to help me out. I have gotten legit requests from people that found me through a spammer. haha

 

Good motivational points to join Twitter. I m already there. But still struggling to get visitors from Twitter. Lets hope for the best.

 

All those who right now think about joining Twitter, be aware of it as twitter is very addicting as well ... I was active (and I mean really active) there for about half a year with a private account, got pagerank 5 and had more than 5000 updates but honestly it is hard to let it go at the end of the day.

 

Last point, you can make money with twitter...

 

I should really give this a try. I have been lazy. There is so much to do in order to promote your website. I don't even know where to start

xojac: I agree it CAN be addictive, if you let it be ...although, i try to be VERY disciplined...only 30 mins a day and that's it and have got 4200+ followers in a month...to make life easier, I also use automation tools too!

webster7: Twitter can be a great FREE marketing tool, if you know how to use it effectively...else it can prove to be a big waste of time!...I always ask myself, BEFORE starting anything new "what outcome do i want to achieve by using this tool and by when?"

I know twitter is pretty popular these days, but I still have trouble making it work for my sites.

 

Well, it's the last big thing. The next big thing could well be Meme...

 

I still haven't caught on to Twitter..but as for it being the "next big thing"...it's the NOW big thing, in my opinion.

When police are using Twitter to establish what happened in a report (see Shawn Merriman attack on Tila Tequila), then it has become pretty big.

Sorry, what exactly do you mean by this, when you say noticeable?

 

Twitter can boost traffic to one's site once maintained and used properly.

 

just remember to actually use your twitter to interact with followers. don't just use it to post links to your site and definitely do not use it just to collect followers. if you use it the right way, you'll definitely see good traffic.
