Best place (and method) to SELL digital downloads from?

Any recommendations for the best place to sell digital downloads from online? I'm thinking Clickbank.

Also, are there any uber softwares that could expedite this i.e. make delivery totally automatic?

I've found some that hook into eBay, but they've banned auctions for digital goods.

Best I've found so far are:

    http://www.phpsitelock.com/
    http://www.awesomephp.com/?Membership-2 [Free!]
    http://www.geniegate.com/ [Free!]

Just wondering if there's something even better out there.

You could try Tradebit, I've sold digital goods there without any problems. They are regularly spidered and indexed as well, so less advertisement of your product is necessary...

Thank you both very much for your replies. I have a mania for trying to set up my own solutions, but this can be nightmarish and a thief of time in practice.

I think http://www.e-junkie.com might be the best. It charges a flat-fee and it's even cheaper if you have your own download web-space.

Clickbank is the best option for digital products. If you are thinking on success lines, you have to spend something first. Don't try to get outside sites keep an hand on your products. Take the service of any good programmer from DP and do everything on your own domain.

Also for clickbank you have to apply a trick to get your product moving. It will cost you much. But once you are up, you'll be up in sells for lifetime.

I don't know what preperations you made to sell; but you should be perfect from every angle to sell on clickbank with initial amount of $1000 to $3000 to purchase your own product from your own links (of course dummy accounts). Thus you will be in top 10 results of search and your product will be picked up from affiliates. Then just BOOM. COLLECT MONEY FOR MANY DAYS..... AGAIN NEW ONE...BOOM...AND SO ON.

    Clickbank rocks...
My best place to sell digital products as well as e-book.
You can add up to 500 products to one advertiser account so no need to pay them again.

I think I might give Clickbank + E-junkie a try. The idea is to automate everything rather than 're-invent the wheel' on my own server.

I think you are suggesting bidding your own product up in Clickbank? That's clever, a bit dodgy and I'm too lazy to go to that trouble :D. I'm a bit burnt-out from coding, submitting, and using freelances so it's automation, outsourcing and using established services for this gig, I say!

I was looking at eJunkie but ended up going with FastSpring.com. I was blown away with their customer service and the fact that they do their own CC processing.

Being in the digital content delivery business for almost 15 years now, here are a few things I recommend:

    A) Get the most coverage you can...Sell your downloads from multiple locations.
    B) Price content reasonably.
    C) Secure the delivery so that download links cannot be shared.
    D) Instant Automated Delivery for your buyers provides instant gratification and less charge backs.

Of course I recommend my service, digitalcontentcenter.com.

If you are selling from Clickbank or Ebay (more on ebay in a second) make sure that delivery is instant and secure. Again less charge backs.

As for ebay...you can sell digital products as ebook cd's. Check it out by going to ebay and searching on ebooks.

    Good Luck Selling Your Downloads.
